Overnight Chocolate Oat Smoothie

This taste like a chocolate milkshake – who says you can’t have dessert first thing in the morning!

Ingredients

Night before

1.5 cups of either water, unsweetened almond milk, or coconut water

1/2 cup of rolled oats

1 tbsp almond butter

2 tbsp of either unsweetened cocoa powder or my choice is to add chocolate protein powder – I use Sun Warrior

1 tbsp chia seeds

Morning of

1 banana

1 tbsp of coconut oil

1 tbsp hemp seeds

1 tbsp cacao nibs

Directions

The night before

  • Add all the ingredients under ‘Night Before’ into a high speed blender.
  • Do not blend, but give everything a good stir
  • Put in your fridge

The morning of

  • Add all the ingredients under ‘Morning of’ into your blender
  • Blend all together
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy!

This can come out quite thick, so feel free to add more liquid of your choice if you wish to thin it out. Or you could just eat it with a spoon 😉
